Along a winding 130-kilometer stretch of the C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur known as the Route du Mimosa<\/strong>, the landscape has erupted into a sea of electric yellow. This seasonal phenomenon, where millions of mimosa trees bloom in defiance of the winter calendar, marks the start of a unique “pre-spring” road trip that remains one of Europe\u2019s most enchanting hidden gems.<\/p>\n

A Golden Awakening in Bormes-les-Mimosas<\/h3>\n

The journey begins in the medieval village of Bormes-les-Mimosas<\/strong>. Clinging to a steep hillside, this historic town is a labyrinth of 12th-century stone walls draped in bougainvillea and lavender. However, in January and February, the namesake mimosa takes center stage.<\/p>\n

The village hosts Mimosalia<\/strong>, a major botanical event that brings together expert nurserymen and plant enthusiasts.
